We’ve always taken great pride here at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in the quality of our imaging services; from our experienced, specially trained team of pediatric radiologists, nurses and technologists, to our 100 percent dedication to kids and their specific needs. That’s why it’s so special to be able to say we have been designated a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
This is no ordinary, everyday achievement
We are only the third pediatric hospital in the U.S. — you’d have to go to Ohio or Georgia to find the others — to earn this elite distinction. The way we perform imaging meets and exceeds ACR standards, and exemplifies the absolute pinnacle in medical imaging care. It’s a testament to our entire imaging team, which is made up of more than 250 people, as well as the state-of-the-art equipment we use, the policies and procedures we follow, and the level of care and attention we give our young patients.

Going above and beyond expectations
We got to this point by keeping in mind that kids are not just small adults. Our training includes fellowships in pediatric body, head or invasive radiology to care for infants, children and teens. We know how to get the best images using the lowest doses possible, and we make the experience as comfortable as we can for kids by telling them what’s going on in language they can understand.
Bringing your child in for an imaging test is a big deal. We get that. Imaging children is not our hobby; it’s our passion, and that’s why we go above and beyond expectations. When you come to a Children’s imaging center — whether it’s at the main hospital, or at a location closer to your home — you can rest assured that your child is getting the best and safest care around.
The Imaging Program at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is one of the nation’s leading programs for children. Our radiologists have special training to care for infants, children and teens.
