Honoring the generosity that helps us improve pediatric health care

We thank our donors for everything they help us accomplish.

At Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, we appreciate all of the ways our donors make a difference in the lives of children. Because of their support, we’re able to provide the highest quality care and move closer to our vision of Wisconsin’s kids being the healthiest kids in the nation.

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of participating in our annual Celebrate Children’s event where our organization formally honors the philanthropic support of our donors.

The generosity of our donors allows us to innovate, ensuring that kids from Wisconsin and beyond receive the best care possible.

Emelie Vogel Nunnemacher Award: Dave and Barri Drury

It was with great respect and gratitude that we recognized Barri and Dave Drury as this year’s Nunnemacher Award honorees.

Barri and Dave are long-time, ardent supporters of Children’s Hospital, giving an immeasurable amount of time, talent and treasure to our mission, not least through the Barri L. and David J. Drury Family Fund for Genetic Research and Barri L. and David J. Drury Chair in Pediatrics.

Organization Award: MACC Fund

It was with immense respect, admiration and gratitude that we honored the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) with this year’s Organization Award.

Since it was founded in 1976 by former Milwaukee Bucks player Jon McGlocklin, the MACC Fund has given more than $45 million to fund pediatric cancer research. Words alone cannot express the overwhelming contribution the MACC Fund has made to advancements in cancer and blood disorder treatments for children here and around the world.
