Last week, during WKLH’s annual Dave & Carole Miracle Marathon for Children’s Hospital, we raised nearly $1.4 million. This was the 16th year we’ve had the privilege to hold this radiothon with 96.5 WKLH, which since its inception has raised more than $18 million for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
For two days each May, our lobby buzzes with activity as Dave Luczak and Carole Caine broadcast live from our hospital. They have been instrumental in making Miracle Marathon one of the most successful radiothons in the nation, and words cannot describe our gratitude.
Each year, I am astounded by the generosity of Dave and Carole’s loyal listeners — and our entire community. I want to thank everyone who volunteered their time or donated money to help ensure that the kids in our community have access to the best care. I also want to thank WKLH and our hospital staff, who worked many hours to support this radiothon. And, of course, this event wouldn’t happen without the families who shared their very personal stories of hope and healing.
Thanks for making a difference in the lives of children.
