I am so happy that Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin gave me the opportunity to meet Donald Driver and other Packers players earlier this month at the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game. It was truly the experience of a lifetime. I will never forget it.
I was picked because I go to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin often because I have type 1 diabetes. I was diagnosed when I was 4 years old. If I’d never been diagnosed, I never would have been able to meet Donald and the Packers.
I had an amazing time and Donald was so nice. We didn’t get to talk that much, but he took a picture with me and signed my football and softball glove.
I also got a fist bump from Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and talked with Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson! Jordy came and talked with me unprompted and was extremely nice and down to earth. It was an amazing experience and I am very grateful.
Thank you Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin!
